Working on some major overhauls for the Combat engine, that has so far been met with cheers and jeers from players and other development staff. Regardless, the changes will be tested thoroughly, and, more than likely, implemented. The major changes include: the removal of Verve and the lists of special abilities that each unit and Hero had, giving them a single, unique Attack; units and Heroes can use their Standard Action (turning side-ways) on either performing an Attack during their Combat Phase, or Defending an allied unit during opposing Combat Phases; Heroes can only be sent to the graveyard when another Hero reduces their Vitality to zero, otherwise they drop their equipment and return to their owner's Empire upside-down; any unit can recover dropped equipment; Peasants can now repair Structures. Units and Temples are getting a massive overhaul, and all cards' layouts have been updated. In general, however, every unit's relative power and attack strength remains unchanged, and thus general gameplay will seem to change very little (with the exception of some classes' abilities changing and Tempe Bonuses receiving an overhaul as well). Dispite criticism, exploration and development of this overhaul is proceeding and should be completed soon. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
